Who is eligible for Medicare Advantage?

Anyone who is eligible for Medicare is also eligible for a Medicare Advantage plan. In order to be eligible for Medicare, you must be 65 years of age or older, or you must have certain disabilities or medical conditions that qualify you for Medicare. If you are eligible for Medicare, you can enroll in a Medicare Advantage plan during your Initial Enrollment Period, which begins three months before the month you turn 65 and ends three months after the month you turn 65. You can also enroll in a Medicare Advantage plan during the annual Open Enrollment Period, which runs from October 15 to December 7 each year. If you are eligible for Medicare and you are interested in enrolling in a Medicare Advantage plan, it's important to understand your options and to compare the different plans that are available in your area in order to find the plan that best meets your needs and your budget.
